!!! HELLO !!!

Here is the UPDATED complete chord TAB (or chord songbook if you like?) to the best
debut album since Definitely Maybe! I've worked everything out as best I can, but
Calebs' southern drawl is kinda hard to get to grips with on a couple of songs, but I
think it's as near as. I've also tabbed the solo to "Red Morning Light".
(I'm working on the others!)

"RED MORNING LIGHT" - I've been told that the second line in Verse 2 is:-

"All night your jammin' on your D! Yea-eah"

"SPIRAL STAIRCASE", "MOLLY'S CHAMBERS" and "JOE'S HEAD" - BBC2 Scotland showed 6
programs from T In The Park
recently. 3 of them had The
Kings on. So I managed to get
                                                          the lyrics and chords worked
                                                          out better.

*NOTE: You'll see on the "Happy Alone" track that Matthew plays in Drop D. Caleb stays
in Standard tuning throughout the album. Also, on "Genius", Matthew uses Open G tuning.
I know this because The Kings, well Matthew, is interviewed in the September 2003 issue
of GUITAR magazine, (The one with The Darkness (Great Band) on the cover) and he tells
us that the only time the machineheads deviate from standard tuning is on the two said
tracks. - Hope that clears things up!

I got the best part of the lyrics from the excellent, HAPPYALONE.COM,
(www.happyalone.com) website but some of them weren't right, so you'll see variations.
If you have any comments or suggestions to anything here, please do email me.

Cheers,
Have Fun.

Deano.

P.S. - (.) in the TAB = Let Chord Ring. (N.C. = No Chord Played) (P.M. = Palm Mute)
P.P.S. - Feel free to distribute this as and when/where you want...but PLEASE remember
to gimmie, (DEAN HILL) credit! - THANK YOU!

                You always liked it undercover,

Hey hey, another dirty bird is givin' out a taste, taste,
                       B A G F# E

[Verse 2] B

                                            B
And hangin' out just like a street sign,
                                           E
And pulled a twenty dollar tri-i-ick,

[Intro] | E | E | E | E |

[Verse 1] N.C.
                It’s your life,

Don’t you let 'em tell you when to bat your eyes,

You’re the only one who’s gonna sacrifice,

Makes no difference if you’re right or wrong.

                A take that ride,

But I want your little sister by your side,

Maybe little later we can all collide,

Do our lovin’ like a rollin’ stone.

[Bridge] N.C.
Your time on me is wasted time,

Your time on me is wasted time,

Your time on me is wasted time,

Your time on me is wasted.

[Chorus] D A
                Her innocent smile,
            D A D A D A D
                A runnin’ free,
                E | E |
Baby gone give it like it used to be,
                                                        | E |
Baby gone give it like it used to be.

[Verse 2] E
                A show your face,

Livin’ in the shadows like you got no name,

Enough to make a little girly go insane,

Be my guest and let it out tonight,

                Well it’s ok,

I know all about the little games you play,

Shakin’ your apple right in my face,

Only when you know that I'm a beggin’ for a bite,

[Bridge] N.C.
Your time on me is wasted time,

Your time on me is wasted time,

Your time on me is wasted.

He doesn't even know which fist that, he'd like to bite tonight,
                                       B A C#m B
Oh tonight, toni-i-ght, tonight. Well maybe tonight...

[Bridge] E A
'Cause oh Paw, she don't get off,
                   C#m
            Unless somebody's standing near her,
                       E A
And she'll shine, once a, she's crossed the line,
                      C#m
Hands all tied to a chair.

[Chorus] A E A
Oscillating on the ground, blowin' white noise sound,
                   C#m
            Like a Trani on ten!

[Middle 8] G#
            Cops are on the call,
          A
            Hittin' at the freaks,
          G#
            Fingers in the dirt,
          B
Spittin' out his teeth, Spittin' out his teeth.
